This is a high quality pre-amp in very good condition the input selectors are phono cd tuner aux/video-1 aux/video-2 digital-1 which is used when playing back the optical output of a digital audio component such as cd player or DAT equipped with an optical output terminal which is connected to the digital-1 terminal then you have digital-2/3 which are used when playing back a coaxial type digital output of a digital audio component such as a cd player or DAT equipped with a digital output terminal which is connected to the digital-2/3. The digital components have different sampling frequencies depending on the component. This amplifier will automatically switch for appropiate operation so input can be made without any changes.

The sampling frequencies are 32khz / 44khz / 48khz (standard cd players are 44khz ). It has a high quality fully motorised volume control which is accessed via the remote handset. As you will see from the top view picture of the pre-amp that it has separate constructions for digital and analogue signals.
Also a big bonus is that it has a phono cartridge matching unit built in that can be switched between MC (Moving Coil) or MM (Moving Magnet) turntable cartridges. In addition to this a subsonic filter can be turned on.
It has separate pcbs for digital and analogue signals and a power supply that shames most power amplifiers. denon spared no expense and the build and weight reflect this!
