Nice video from local tv which covers Chris Feickert's turntables and shows a local record store in Freiburg! It's in german, but I believe the spirit can perceived without understanding the words.

To honour life, truth and mainly the figure of Dr. Thomas Scheu the following should be remembered! ...

Chris Feickert commenced to be the assistant to the, by the early nineties, Thmas Scheu's revolutionary turntables and inovative approach to analog reproduction!...



Only after unexpected and sad death of Thomas, Chris and Scheu's widow Ulla, took charge of the business reins (Scheu Turntables) and later on launched himself alone with the today's  Feickert's turntables.
»By 2002 and at 38 years of age, he quit his well-paying secure job and joined friend Thomas Scheu, a true legend in the world of analogue. For many years Scheu had worked on improving all things vinyl and Chris was tasked to help sell Scheu’s designs. Unfortunately two years later Thomas Scheu had passed away at a young age. Chris remained with the company and assisted widow Ulla to keep thing going. I know Chris for many years now and meeting Thomas Scheu (not Dr.) was for sure one trigger for him to change from chemical industry to audio. But the current Feickert models have nothing in common with older or current Scheu turntables but are his own designs, visually and technical.

In my mind, it's a very subtle domain, for german aproach!!!... but maybe i'm wrong!!!   

Anyway, we love Manfred!... so we accept that they are audiophiles, and not only musicians !!!  

I'm joking, and cheers Man!!!
